Wendy has been in the fitness industry for most of her life. As a child she competed in gymnastics, which paved the way for her interest in physical fitness. Her career later took off as she competed and won several Fitness America Pageants, such as ESPN Fitness America Series Champion (’96 and ’97), and NPC Eastern UA Fitness Champion (’98). Her success sparked a compelling career in the Professional Training industry. An impressive list of clients including Montel Williams, Mary J. Blige, and Mya, made Wendy New York’s ‘It girl’ for obtaining star studded looks.
When Wendy discovered pole dancing, she marveled at this artistic yet powerful art form. Wendy installed a pole at home and became a dedicated pole dancer. Along with her existing fitness consciousness, she realized this was a fun way for women to get in great shape since it incorporates resistance training along with coordination and endurance.
Wendy soon opened New York Pole Dancing in October 2005 ,where hundreds of women have spun and climbed themselves fit on the pole.

Anna Grundstrom
Anna, who is a native Swede, started out as a contemporary modern and jazz dancer in her hometown of Stockholm. She later moved to New York to attend the dance program at the Alvin Ailey American Dance School. Once she graduated she danced in various productions such as E-moves, theaters and dance conventions.
Although she had a passion for dance, Anna decided to explore her interests in literature, women’s issues, culture, and travel. She went back to school and then traveled throughout various parts of Europe, Central America, and South East Asia.
Back in NY, she discovered pole dancing at a Bachelorette Party. As a former dancer, Anna appreciated the artistic element of such physical challenge. Fitness was always an interest in her life, but not until she found pole dancing did she also find a balance of health and creativity.
Anna will be joining the New York Pole Dancing staff in the fall ‘08, and is happy to encourage women all over to become healthy pole dancers.
