USPDF Divisions

The USPDF Championship 2009 was not just our first competition, but also our first pro- qualifier event. The reason we started to create a pro division within our federation was to allow women to compete fairly against one another in the future, depending on what level of skills they perform at. The pro- division has more challenging required elements in the compulsory rounds, compare to the amateur division.

Pro Division

The USPDF gave out up to 5 pro status at regional competitions, and at the 2009 Championship. The top three finalists automatically received pro status. Based on judges’ recommendation, the USPDF awarded up to two additional competitors with pro status. 

Amateur Division

Our first amateur division will be introduced in the nationals March 2010. The amateur division is for women without pro status. At the nationals in March 2010, we’ll allow 6 competitors in this division, and give out 1 pro status to the winner.
